FAQs

What are eyelash extensions?

High quality synthetic Mink or Silk lashes are applied onto your natural lashes to enhance and extend. I create a bespoke look for each individual client, using a variety of extensions to build the correct volume, length and curl for your desired look.

Can I get my lash extensions wet?

Yes, I would advise that you wait 24 hours after having them applied to allow the glue to cure. After this time it is fine to get them wet, lashes would be washed at least 3 times a week, more frequent washing is required for those who wear heavy eye makeup to ensure there is no buildup of makeup on the lash line.

Will lash extensions damage my own lashes?

No, not when applied correctly, only lashes in which suit your natural lash thickness and length will be applied to ensure they remain as healthy as possible. One size does not fir all, each set is tailored to the individuals lashes.

Can I put mascara over my lash extensions?

Although there are mascaras specifically available for lash extensions, I would not recommend this, as firstly it defeats the object of having extensions applied.Normal mascara should not be used on lash extensions for many reasons; Chemicals in the mascara breakdown the glue and cause extensions to fall out. Mascara will clump the lash extensions together, you will never be able to clean the mascara off properly and thoroughly whilst you have extensions on, resulting in dirt buildup on the lash line which an therefore cause infection. If you come to me with mascara on your lash extensions you will need to pay for removal and a fresh set, as its impossible to remove the mascara, this will also effect the retention of your lashes and they will not last. I will not have time to remove your lashes and complete a fresh set last minute ( with no notice) so you will end up having to reschedule and your deposit for the first appointment will be lost. Stay away from mascara!

How long do lash extensions last?

That heavily depends on how well you follow the aftercare given to you, with proper care, your extensions will last 4-6 weeks. You should expect to shed most of the extensions throughout the growth cycle of your natural lashes.

How often will i require infills?

Everyone is different, it all depends on how well you look after your lash extensions and your natural shedding cycle of your lashes. Clients typically come back every 2-3 weeks to keep their lashes looking as fresh as possible.

How should I expect lash extensions to feel?

Lash extensions should feel lightweight and you should not be able to feel them on your lashes.

How long does it take to apply a full set?

A full set can take 1.5 - 2.5 hours, deposing on the chosen set, i.e classic or volume, it also depends on the amount of natural lashes you have.

What is the difference between Classics, Russian Volume and Hybrids?

A 1:1 technique is used for classics, one extension is applied to 1 natural lash, this set is best for clients who desire a natural look.

Russian Volume lashes consist of handmade fans, multiple lighter lashes are applied to each individual natural lash, creating a fuller and more dramatic look.

Hybrids are a mix of Classic and Russian extensions, this set is best for clients who want a little more volume than classic but not as much glam as Russian.
